Born on December 18, 1932, in the small village of Tihio, Kastoria, Greece, Thomas was the beloved son of Athena Zaraliakos and Stavros Natos. He was the eldest brother to Damianos Natos (Elpiniki Natou) and George (Natos) Nates, both of blessed memory, and to his loving sister Mary Nates (Natou). Thomas lived a life defined by devotion, humility, and quiet strength. He was a loving and dedicated husband to Elisabeth, with whom he shared 68 beautiful years of marriage.
Through every joy and challenge, Elisabeth stood faithfully by his side, especially throughout his many years of illness, caring for him with unwavering love, dignity, and compassion. He was the proud father of Margaret, and he also served as a guiding and fatherly figure to Guida Sangiorgi, whom he cared for with the same depth of heart and commitment.
He was a supportive and treasured uncle to Stavros Natos (Evanthia Papathoma), Aglaia Natou, Voula Thalassinos (nee Nates), Dr. Damianos Natos, Niki Natou, and Antonis Stasinopoulos. To each of them, he offered love, wisdom, and a gentle presence that will be dearly missed. Thomas was also a loyal friend and trusted confidant to Michael Rountis, a relationship built on mutual respect, honesty, and lifelong camaraderie.
Those who knew Thomas remember him as the kindest and gentlest of men—a soul defined by loyalty, generosity, and a love for his family that knew no bounds. His quiet acts of care, his steady guidance, and his gracious spirit left an imprint on every life he touched. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Sangiorgi and Mancini families for their constant support, friendship, and love throughout the years. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of goodness that will continue to shine through the people who loved him most.
From his devoted wife Elisabeth: "He was the light and love of my life."
