Deepest condolences on your loss of Tricia.  Tricia was one of the bravest, strongest, kindest and most loving people I have ever met.  She was the best friend of my sister Lisa.  They supported each other over the years and I know how much Lisa is going to miss her.  I hope all of your happy memories provide you some comfort during this difficult time.

To the best neighbors in the entire world, my family sends their deepest condolences on Trisha's passing. She and I had a great phone conversation a few weeks ago, we talked about the good old times on Toby and how things have changed.  I wish there were  words to say to ease your pain at this time, Trisha was a special girl with the warmest smile with just a gleam of mischief  in her eyes, she always had a friendly hello and asked how your day was.  For us lucky enough to know her she made us better people.

In the short time that I had the honour to know Tricia, she felt like a sister to me.   Her smile and laughter will never be forgotten.

Tricia never let any health concerns get in the way of attaining  her Bachelor of Social Work degree.

At the St. Felix Centre's Cold Weather Alert Program, Tricia always had a smile, whether it was counselling a homeless guest, or pitching in to help with the dishes.

Pat, Paul, Steven and family, we are so sorry for your loss.

Tricia was an amazing person. She was so kind, thoughtful, intelligent,  and caring. She always thought of others before herself.

Tricia suffered for over 16 years as a result of a botched gastric bypass surgery. She would want everyone to know that if a friend or loved one is considering gastric bypass surgery - don't do it.

She loved camping and fishing. We are glad that Tricia was able to spend the week before her death at a cottage in Point au Baril - her favourite place to be.

We are so proud that Pat and Paul chose us to be Tricia's godparents.

Tricia will be missed.

Tricia was not only a great friend to Heather and I, but her compassion, strength and empathy served as an inspiration for me to enter the field of social work.   I had the privilege of not only knowing her as a friend, but also as a colleague working with Toronto's homeless.  I am humbled by how Tricia faced all of her health and life challenges with humor and grace.   

Tricia never let ill health stop her from touching so many lives… and actually saving a few,  such as the sick baby who had been brought into Sunnybrook's busy Emergency Room by her parents.   There was going to be a long wait time before their baby could be seen.   Tricia, who was also waiting to be seen,  suggested they take their baby to the Hospital for Sick Children (where Tricia had once worked in their Research Department)    The parents  took her advice,  and went to Sick Children's Hospital.   Months later by chance Tricia encountered the parents, who told her that that their baby had been diagnosed that night with leukemia.   

Tricia was truly an extremely special, wonderful, one-of-a-kind person whose absence is going to be keenly felt.

To Trisha’s family — I am incredibly sorry to hear of Trisha’s passing.  I was fortunate  to have Trisha as my student at Sherwood.   She was such a bright girl and had a smile I will remember.  May precious memories of  Trisha bring comfort to you all in the days to come.
