Ursula "Tillie" Fiamelli

24 May , 19251 June , 2019
Play Tribute Movie

Peacefully, in the morning on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Michael.

Loving mother of Carl (Marzanna), Isabelle, Dean (Dale-Ann), and Tina (Charlie). Proud grandmother of Nicole, April, Michael and Matthew. Survived by sisters Rosaline, Raphael, and brother Elmo (Inez). Sister-in-law of Joe (Lee), Angela, and Lena. Predeceased by sisters Mina, Annie, Phyllis, Rita, and brothers Sam, Jimmy, and Armando. Ursula will always be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was a vibrant, passionate, active woman that was never afraid to speak her mind. Her favourite question was always "What would you like to eat?" then would proceed to cook up a storm. She loved Christmas with her loving family and had the most beautiful tree every year. She will be forever loved. Thank you to teams at Sunrise Retirement Community in Burlington and Idlewyld Manor in Hamilton for the exceptional care.

A private family service will take place. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.markeydermody.com.

Dear Carl, Belle, Dean and Tina
I will always remember the happiness of your parents on their wedding day as I was a flower girl.

Forever I will remember your mother as a cheerful, vivacious, outspoken and stylish woman

Kindly accept my condolences.

My Dearest Aunt Tillie, I am writing this with a very heavy heart. Although I knew it was time for you to go in my heart I thought of you as being immortal and that we would have you with us forever.
You were such a huge part of my life and the memories I have of you will be instilled in my mind forever. Our Florida trips, trailer times, going to mass on Sundays (and you swearing in front of the church at the guy who cut us off), just so many good times.
You were my aunt, my second mom, and at times my confidant. I love you and will cherish every moment that I had with you.
Rest in Peace

My sincere condolences and great sympathy to Dean, Carl, Belle, Tina and Family
Where do I start. Wonderful memories were made over many years, always looked so forward to visiting.
Tillie’s work ethic and dedication to her family were second to none.
I learned so much from Tillie over the years through conversation and observation. Tillie was always willing to share her wisdom, knowledge and expertise.
I have many fond memories of her. She was a kind and gentle soul, a wonderful person and a friend.
May God welcome her, with open arms and may she find those we have lost.

Will miss you Tillie,
Love Rosemarrry

Your cooking was incredible, your style always impeccable.

You helped raise April and I and we are strong women because of it.

I will forever be thankful for the bowls of soup, plethora of clothes, and red lipstick kisses on the cheek.

Tell Grandpa we say hi, and don't give him a hard time up there, it's finally time to relax.

Love you always.

Aunt Tillie was a great and vivacious woman. She will be missed! She was a woman who could COOK and I wish I could cook like her. I have fond memories of going to Aunt Tillie and Uncle Mike’s house. She was a great listener and I will always remember how she said my name.

Where do I start, we lost an amazing woman, mom was the most giving person ever, lf you needed help with anything, she was the person to see, whether you were related or not. For her kids, she would stick her hand in fire for us, nothing was too hot for her to handle. Mom was a class act, whenever she went out, she was dressed to the nines. During my whole life, if I ever needed advice, she was the one to see and she was dead on every time. Whenever l showed people pictures of my parents, they were in awe, as they looked like movie stars. Mom was the best cook ever, she had a knack to make the simplest thing taste unbelievable. Mom, I'm going to miss you greatly, but don't worry, I remember everything you taught me. Xoxoxoxo

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be thine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Fiamelli family at this time.
May you find solace in the thought that your mother is now in God's arms
and may you find His perfect peace that passes all understanding
during this time. Philippians 4:7

Heaven has not been the same since Tillie arrived.
God's gain, our loss.
It is comforting to know that she is now at peace and I know that she is already missed by many.
Sadly too ..... I have no caponata left. Tillie knew how much I loved it and each time I stopped in for a visit she always gave me some to take home.
There is no doubt she has touched so many lives in so many ways.
How wonderful now to reflect on so many memories .......
"thanks for the memories Tillie"
I'll miss you forever, love Debbie.
