

DOLANJSKI, Vladimir (Walter) Peacefully with his loving family by his side, Walter passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on September 29, 2010 in his 81st year after a battle with cancer. He was a man of deep faith and through his illness he entrusted his life to God. Loving husband of 58 years to Ljubica Dolanjski, beloved dad to his Millie Dolanjski, Ana and son-in-law Ivan Pavkovic, Ljubica Amanda (predeceased), his granddaughters: Ivana and her husband Zeljko Spicko and great-grandson Mario, Vesna and her husband Kruno Kunovic and Marija and Dave, his dear brother Tom Dolanjski and sister-in-law Danica and their families in Timmins, ON. He is also missed by many other relatives and friends here in Canada and in Croatia. Vladimir was born in his beloved Dolanjski Jarak Croatia on December 16, 1929 and then came to Canada in 1966. He worked in Timmins for many years, after retirement he moved to Hamilton, together with his family, whom he brought to Canada from Croatia. He was a gifted artist with a keen interest and knowledge of history. He painted many beautiful oil paintings, wrote poems, enjoyed singing, and played various instruments, violin being his favourite. His lighthearted humour, his loving presence and his kindness will never be forgotten. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather (deda), brother and friend. Family and friends are invited for visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME at 1774 King Street East, (at Kenilworth) Hamilton on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with the Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 9 a.m. at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery, 305 Erskine Avenue in Toronto.
