Fondly remembered and sorely missed by his former wife Kelly and their sons, Ryan (Laura), Matthew (Emily), Christopher, and Scott, his beautiful grandchildren, Logan, Sasha, Autumn, and Lilienne, his loving siblings, Steve (Jan), and Patricia (Bruce), and his extended circle of family and friends.
Wayne was a prominent figure in the plumbing industry, capping off an accomplished and storied career that spanned decades, leaving a legacy of mentorship and deep professional relationships. An old-world gentleman and a true raconteur, he possessed a rare gift for conversation. Wayne was able to walk into any room and make every person he met feel welcome, valued, and comfortable. He lived a life rich in friendship and love.
Wayne was a conversationalist, on and off the golf course. An avid reader with endless curiosity, he delighted in sharing stories and laughter with those around him. He was always impeccably dressed, carrying a sharp, classic style even in his most casual moments. Wayne met life with optimism and a firm philosophy: “Nobody likes a whiner,” he would often say.
Some of his happiest days were spent travelling the world or fishing on a quiet lake with his sons, all his pride and joy. He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humour, storytelling, compassion, and endless generosity.
He did it his way.
In his last months, he was lovingly and compassionately cared for by the staff of Emmanuel House Hospice in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Emmanuel House Hospice, Hamilton, would be greatly appreciated.
