

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilton Lee Scott on April 17, 2012. She passed away peacefully and gracefully with her family by her side at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton Ontario. She would have celebrated her 87th birthday on April 25th. Predeceased by her husband, former Hamilton Tiger Cat Vince Scott. Wilton will be dearly missed by her four children, Gail Bamlett (John) of Hamilton, Joe Scott (Joy) of Elliott Lake, Vince Scott (Mary Jo) of Hamilton, and Bob Scott (Sue) of Mississauga. Admired and loved grandmother of Jason, Tyler, Joel, Jennifer, Tina, Vinny, Vanessa, Jamie, Melinda, Shayla, Jewell, Lyndsey and Daniel. Wilton was born in Tennessee in 1925 and survived the great depression and World War 2. She married Vince Scott and came to Canada in 1949. She was a proud member of the Catholic Womens League for 50 years. Her memory will be honored and cherished by all those who were touched by her generous nature and spirit. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their support and kindness. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Thursday, April 19th and Friday, April 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Parish ( 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek).
