Winston Williams

It is with deep regret and profound sadness that the Williams’ family would like to announce the passing of Winston (Pawdy) Williams Sr. Surrounded by his loving and devoted wife Colene, and son Winston Jr. and daughter in-law Lucy. Winston was a father to sons Winston Jr. and Howard and grandfather to Kayla and Marley. Brother to sisters Evlyn, Pearl, Vida, Charmaine, Lloyd and Simon. Sisters in-law Elta, Dapahne (Pinny), Merle (Bea), Irea (Shirley), Stanley (Teheresa), Nora, Carmen and friends and his supportive neighbors. From his birth on September 15th 1946 to his passing July 15th 2013, Winston, a man filled with peace, compassion and unwavering strength, not once compromised on his ability to fill others with peace, compassion and strength alike. Only surpassed by his kindness; the warmth of his smile and gentle touch can comfort his loved one`s and those he loved dearly no more, however, those who loved him are comforted by his memories and the fact that he is now a man comforted by the touch of god. Demoned, the sparkle in Winston`s eyes have been replaced only temporarily by the sunset but the brightness of his soul now shines on us forever. Even though his presence will be greatly missed, his own humanity, the body of his life`s work, continues on in the hearts of whom he loved and who loved him very much. We would like to give our deepest appreciation and thanks to the Dr’s and the staff on Ward C3 at the Juravinski Hospital, special thanks to Nurse Ashley. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton on Wednesday, July 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 25th at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
