Anita Diane Harvey, age 51, passed away peacefully Mar 2, 2019 due to complications after suffering a heart attack. She was born May 17, 1967 in Washington DC to William R. Gardner Sr. and Leolar R. Gardner. Anita always believed in doing things simple. So instead of having a big wedding, she married her husband at a courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia.
Anita loved people. Every job she held, customers always commented on her kindness, friendly smile, and caring personality. She was always ready to give the shirt off her back to help others.
Anita was a family first person. Her family was her life. As the kids started eating normal food, she catered to each of them on the things they like to ensure they ate all of their food. Moreover, she would create new recipes that made eating dinner fun.
As time went on, Anita got into crafts. She also loved decorating her house and gardening. She loved growing morning glory's, sunflowers, tomatoes, and green peppers. She tried growing other plants without success, so she commented, "I'll stick with what I know."
Her life is an example of a virtuous woman, a loving wife, and a caring mother.
Anita is survived by her husband Floyd, mother and father Leolar and William Sr., her brother William Jr., her sister and husband Rosetta and Keith, her daughters Eboni and Shannon, her son Nehemiah, her grandson Charles Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved and touched everyone deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life March 10, 2019, 12:00 PM, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave.
