

Anita was a native of Heidelberg, Germany and has been a resident of Hampton for 47 years.
She was a member of the Tidewater German American Society and the German American Volkssport Association.
Anita was preceded in rest by her husband, Henry Hunter, three brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by daughter, Angie Kama and husband, Joe; son, Harold Hunter and wife, Chong; five grandchildren, Kathy Thompson (Chad), Christy Varner (David McGowan), Thomas Hunter & Family, Kimberly Bullock & Family, Crystal Kama; four great-grandchildren, Lindsey Thompson, Adam Varner, Hannah Varner, and Izzy Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, July 11, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Anita’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 12, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
