Barbara Miller Neff

She was born October 27, 1932 in Rockland, Maine. Originally from Boonsboro, Maryland, the daughter of Gwendolyn Bast Miller and Haley Merle Miller, Barbara was a resident of the Peninsula for over 50 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Gail Lockhart and husband Bobby, Sherry Robinson and husband Bill, Terry Street and husband Randy, all of Carrollton, Virginia; 8 grandchildren: Rob Lockhart III, Angela Parker, Kristina Braid, Alison Street, Kyle Barnes II, Chelsey Barnes, Abby Street, and Brad Barnes.

Barbara loved children and was a loving caregiver for many years. She loved to read and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. Before declining health, she was a member of Langley Baptist Church in Hampton. The family wishes to convey their appreciation to the staff of the Smithfield Convalescent Center, especially Denise Cyrus.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Isle of Wight Animal Shelter.

A graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park at 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
