Betty Lou Bass

Betty L. Bass of Hampton went to be with our Lord Friday, December 29, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Hampton and retired from a career in civil service at Langley AFB. She loved spending time with her family and friends and going to Busch Gardens, enjoyed reading, watching classic movies, and working in her yard. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Willie B. Bass and her mother, Lillie R. Bass. She is survived by her children, Omar U. McQuillen and his wife, Chris, Willie B. McQuillen and his wife, Kim, and Jimmy L. McQuillen and his wife, Celena; grandchildren, Omar III, Nickie, Maggie, and Wills; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Jason, and Mason. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with a celebration of Betty’s life follow at 12:00 pm.
