Dear Mother-in-law,

You know writing is not my thing but I want to thank you for loving me as if I was your own! You gave me hope and pushed me when I thought the end was coming! Thank you! I love you and miss you dearly. I remembered I asked you to help me with a math problem. You helped me alright, that day and the next three( with the same problem, might I add) LOL Thank you for loving and caring for your grandchildren as if they were the only people on the planet. They love you. Well, rest well my love.

To the family of Brenda C. Mauney,

Like Brenda, I am a 1969 graduate of Hampton High School. I just learned of Brenda's death through Ralph Woods, a fellow 1969 graduate of HHS. I am sorry to hear of Brenda's death. Too many of my fellow 1969 graduates of HHS are dying and it brings home the fact that time is passing by quickly for all of us. Take care and best wishes to all of you.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

A soldier called to instruct up yonder.  Let her legacy be forever in our hearts and keep hope alive.

Mrs. Mauney was my teacher at Francis Asbury and I remember her being a loving and kind hearted person and devoted to teaching her students. May God be with the family and heal the wounds and sadness in your hearts. I pray for peace and comfort for you all.

Mrs. Mauney was a wonderful lady. I will always be thankful for the positive example she set and for the way she always made you feel welcome. Although she was very down-to-earth, she always carried herself with a certain dignity that made you feel proud to be in her company. It's the one thing I will remember most about her. My prayers and love go out to the family.

The love of Christ shone brightly in, through and around Brenda.  May the love of God continue to strengthen you and give you peace during your time of sorrow.

The Gilliam family is truly

 truly loved Brenda. My mother and Brenda had a very special relationship . The last time I say 
Brenda and several of her lovely 
sisters was at my brother's 
memorial service. I can still see 
her smile.  Brenda was one of 
our cheerleader coaches for the Aberdeen Raiders. God picked 
one of prettiest flowers from the
 garden. Brenda was just a 
wonderful kind person who will be missed. Whenever my family

     We, the Price family, loved Brenda dearly; to us, she was family.  Brenda visited our home each Christmas for my mother's collard greens and spoke of that at my mother's memorial/funeral service.  That highlight was so cute; Brenda was such a wonderfully sophisticated sweetheart type of person yet, so-down-to-earth and humorous like most of the Cunninghams :).   You know, we grew up together, living across the street from each other, sharing almost everything, throughout the years;  many wonderful moments and good times from Age 4 to 64.  I'll always love Brenda and I thank God for those Golden Days, treasured memories and the blessing of having such a true friend until the end, through all.   Dr. Gail P. Price-Elam
