Calvin Bentley

Calvin Shannon Bentley, 84, of Newport News, Virginia passed away on January 10, 2020 in Williamsburg.
Visitation will be 1 PM, Wednesday, January 15th at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, after Visitation at Parklawn-Wood with the Rev. David Price of Grafton Baptist Church, officiating.
There will be a reception following the service at the home of John and Christina Talley, 839 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson, VA 23662
Calvin was born in Garrett, Kentucky to Johnny and Alice Bentley on August 31, 1935. He married Betty Lee Ezzell on May 17, 1980 in Newport News, Virginia. He worked as a tool clerk for Newport News Shipbuilding for 36 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army.
Calvin is preceded in death by three of his children and numerous other family members and friends.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Betty, other children, brothers and sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren too numerous to list but greatly cared for and thought of.
Donations may be given to Grafton Baptist Church, 5440 George Washington Memorial Hwy., Yorktown, VA 23692.
The Bentley family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the Doctors, Hospice Nurses, and the staff of Envoy of Williamsburg for his care.
