Carter Jakhi Perry, age 1 month, passed away on October 30, 2023. He was born on September 29, 2023, in Norfolk, Virginia, to his loving parents, Madeline Byrum and David Perry. Carter will be dearly missed by his family.
Carter was a sweet and giggly baby with a contagious smile and beautiful eyes. Despite his short time with us, he brought immense joy to everyone he encountered.
Carter is preceded in death by his grandfather, Angelo Perry.
In addition to his parents, Carter is survived by his brother, Angelo Perry; as well as his uncles, Daniel Caldwell, James Byrum, Patrick Byrum, Michael Booher, Landon Booher, and Brendan Ryan; his aunt, Jordan Booher; his grandmothers, Aimee Booher and Alison Caldwell; his grandfathers, Brian Byrum and Michael Booher; his great grandfathers, Hazel Caldwell and Dave Yarborough; and his great grandmother, Jeannie Yarborough.
A private family ceremony for Carter will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N Armistead Dr, Hampton, VA 23666. An interment to follow service will occur at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
