Clarence McIntosh, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012. He was a native of Flag Pond, Tennessee and a resident of Newport News for 62 years. Clarence was a pipefitter with Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock and retired in May 1992 after 40 years of service. He was a member of First Church of God.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; sons, Roger and Randy; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Deborah McIntosh of Newport News; granddaughter, Meredith McIntosh Bell; three brothers; and four sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March 21, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Clarence's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
