I miss you so much i think about you everyday I still can't believe you are gone, I wish I could have spoke with you one more time you gave me a different out look on life and myself every since I met you. May you rest in peace until we meet again. Love you.

I met Clifton through our Wickham Avenue Alliance Youth Leadership Program. He was a pleasant young man and always smiling. He later worked for the C. Waldo Scott Center during our summer camp program.  He always displayed a caring spirit with our young campers.  He was a motivator and leader as he often spoke about the need and opportunities available for young people in our community. We have so many fond memories of Clifton. Our prayers are with the Lassiter family.

I can still see him smiling in Heaven. Cliff was a light in the darkness and certainly an inspiration to anyone who ever thought of giving up.  He will be missed dearly.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

To the Lassiter Family,
I pray that God continues His loving comfort. Your son, brother and friend to others was truly a special young man.
That "specialness" touched my heart and many others who knew him. I met Clifton at the Pearl Bailey Library and what a "jewel" he was to all of us. He would tell Ms. Sonya Scott and I that we were his "favorite librarians ever" which caused us to smile with much delight. I thank God that I had the opportunity to get to know him and watch him mature to become an activist for God, family and his community. I could go on and about this young man.
Our Heavenly Father has a purpose and plan for ALL of His children and Clifton has fulfilled God's plan and purpose for his life. Clifton's life truly epitomized a Godly spiritual legacy of love, patience, obedience and compassion that grew in the character of Christ's likeness.  Oh my, is all I can say, when I think about Clifton's big heart of compassion for others and as a Believer in God, I know that he is peacefully resting in the arms of God.  Please know that Clifton was dearly LOVED and his legacy will forever be etched in my heart. To know Clifton was to love him. Thank you Lassiter Family for sharing him!

My Clifton. My heart is heavy as I write this but I smile because I know you're were I strive to be....with the father. The word states to be absent from the body is to be present with the father and I rejoice in that knowledge. I loved you deeply,you were like a son to me in fact I called you son and u called me moma Doris. I knew lassistor family from the moment I met Clifton Lassitor there was something different, something special about this lil boy. He was ten and I quickly took to him. He had a beautiful spirit a smile that shinned so bright. He was a Angel yes an angel.truly the spirit of God dwelt in this young man and he made me very proud of him.I will never forget our last conversation how he made me cry with pride in him and his strength his determination will never be matched. Although he was not my child I loved him as if he were and right now I'm really missing him but I'm happy his cure has come. God bless you Evangelist Lassitor and strengthen you. Rejoice all is well with Clifton his battle is over and he is not with us yet always in our heart. His battle is won.Never have I met a child,young person or man of his caliber and one who was loved,respected,cherished and talented as Clifton and no one I mean no one that lived the lord more then Clifton!!! He praised God with all that was in him and Moma Lassiter that's all because of you. So family hold your head up high Clifton did you all proud.Shouting glory to his name for our father makes no mistakes . God saw he was tired his will was to hang on but God saw better for him and brought him home. If you ever need me no matter what please dont you hesitate to call one thing. I loved him. And I'm keeping all of you in prayer...

I met this young man through an after school program my sister ran at Pearl Bailey. He made an immediate impression when you met him. He looked you in the eye, give you firm handshake, was articulate and neatly dressed. He seemed to have the right charisma to attract people to listen to him. My sister would often beam with pride in talking about her Clifton. He was one of first group of kids that helped organized the after school programs for the youth. This program would receive the highest honor from the White House in 2013. The last time I saw him he came back to Pearl Bailey library to help celebrate this White House honor. He even spoke on behalf of the kids in a local ceremony.
It is very sad that such a promising young life has been cut short. But, what he was in the period he was here was amazing. Look forward to meeting him again in eternity.

To the Lassiter Family.  
I pray for you all while God continues to strengthen you and influence your lives.  Having known Cliff and the family since he was almost 9 when he first visited our after school program, I have yet to meet a more wonderful young man than he.  All the volunteers of the Wesley Grove After School program are heart broken by his passing.  Cliff became one of the motivations for why we desired to encourage our young people.  He was wonderfully made and wired in a way that made every man and all women proud.  He was just that kind of young man.  A role model beyond his age and time. He was Mr. Mayo's and many others favorite.  We Love and will Truly miss him.  God Bless You.

My son Chris spoke so highly of you and shared pictures of you on Facebook and told me of what you had accomplished and your view of your situation and your amazing philosophy about things. Just our having a discussion amongst ourselves about you got us emotional and in awe of your strength. You are truly one of Gods warriors. God decided he needed you by his side. I regret that I never had the pleasure to speak to you in person. I know you are still preaching in heaven! God bless!
