Deanna Cloy Boyer

Deanna was born on August 12, 1939, in Oklahoma City, OK to Harold Hadley and Mable Harris Naylor. She retired in 2007 after 30 years Federal Civilian Service with the U.S Air Force as a secretary, budget analyst, and executive secretary. Her final position was Executive Secretary to the Headquarters Air Combat Command Director of Financial Management and Comptroller, Langley AFB, Langley, VA.

Her interests included family, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku. She loved to travel and had visited various countries in Europe as well as the state of Hawaii.

Deanna is survived by her husband of 41 years, David G Boyer, her son Darryl G Boyer and his wife Lindsey, a sister Marilyn Luttrell and a brother Billy Naylor.

All who knew her would agree that she was a warm and caring person. Her always positive attitude, ready smile and infectious laugh made her a pleasure to be around. She will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday September 17 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA; funeral services will follow with interment at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
