Frances Neal Deaver

Frances Neal Deaver, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 4, 2012. Frances was born in Waynesville, NC on December 17, 1921. She met and married Lawrence A. Deaver of Canton, NC and was married in 1945. In 1952 they moved to Hampton, VA to make their home.

Frances was a member of Buckroe Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. She held different positions in the church but her favorite was teaching children about Jesus. She loved to work in her yard, cook, and have family and friends over on Sundays after church.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lawrence A. Deaver. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Cheryl Morris and husband, Jerry of Newport News; sons, Lawrence E. Deaver and wife, Debbie of Newport News, Ricky L. Deaver of Hampton, and Jeffrey L. Deaver and wife, Elaine of Hampton; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be at 12:00 am on Friday, June 8 at Buckroe Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Eddie Heath. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
