I met this man two years ago when we became neighbours and in that time I got to know a awesome person when my daughter told me he passed I didn't want to believe I was just talking to him a couple days earlier my condolences to his wife his kids and his family he will be missed

My heart was broken when I heard the message u will be missed and always be in my heart

My heart dropped when I heard the news it's sad that a wonderful husband and loving father had to leave but I know you are still with your family to protect and guide when needed

Gerri you will truley be missed.  You were and good father, friend, coach and cheerleader.  Yelling for our Kappa Football team.  Telling Jordan he better play (LOL) you are/were truley a team dad.  All we had to was ask and it would be done. Love you and I know you smiling down saying LeAnn you got my sweet potato pie and sweet tea and what you cook. My heart was sadden to hear of Woody's death. He treated me like his little sister and it hurts to know that he is gone. But to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest on Woody until that day come when we all shall see Jesus!!!

I went to Kecoughtan High School with Gerri and was so sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sorrow.

I still can't believe that you are gone, but I know that now you are resting in peace with the Lord and this gives me comfort. You will always be my friend and I will always remember you for your true friendship even through time and distance and your care toward me and my family.

Gerri you will be missed by all RIP my good friend. My wishes go out to his family.

We can go thru all the typical phrases that are said when a loved one is lost---although we understand that they are said for the purpose of being comforting, it really doesn't take the pain away. Gerri was a true friend.  We will miss his random phone calls to "check-in" or popping up just to say "Hello".

Please take comfort in knowing that we loved Gerri.
