He was born on September 24, 1973, and remained a lifelong Hampton Roads resident. He had a long career as a roofer with Thomas Roofing.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James Patrick Crosby Sr. and Edith Diane Byrd; and his sister, Sherri Cottingham. He is survived by his brother, Elliott Chad Cowger (Aislinn); nephew, Eason; and niece, Addison; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Avenue Hampton, VA 23666.
