Jefferson Sinclair Selden III

Jefferson Sinclair Selden III passed away on Friday January 30, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Iris, his 4 children, Jeff (Cheryl), Karen (Tom), Courtenay, and Colgate. Jay had grandchildren, Ashley (Austin), John (Tina), Stephanie (Carlos), Marisa (Joe), Julianna (James), Camille, Carter, and Charlotte. Great grandchildren Claire, Nicholas, Peyton, Grace, and Sebastian. He was a farmer, owner of a trucking company, a Sunday school teacher, and most importantly a beloved father and husband.

He was a creative person. The ideas he brought to fruition on the farm changed the industry. Our father was on the beginning drive of automation in the farming industry and was noted as such in the Progressive Farmer magazine in 1980.

Our father never met a stranger. He always wanted his children to have their very best lives and achieve their dreams.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on February 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located in the Chapel at 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia, 23666. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 pm at the same location. Interment will take place at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia, 23666, at 1:00 pm.
