Jeff was a native of Hampton, Virginia, though he spent 24 years of his life in Midlothian, Virginia. He was a graduate of the Naval Aviation Depot Apprenticeship program, and he worked as an electrician for Philip Morris USA for 26 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he had a lifelong love of visiting the Outer Banks with his family. He and his wife, Janet, had moved to Kill Devil Hills, NC in January, and he was looking forward to spending his retirement years at one of his favorite places: the beach.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Nell Vaughan. Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet Vaughan; daughters Morgan Vaughan and Hannah Vaughan; his father John Vernon Vaughan Jr. (Sylvia); his sister Shari Graham (Jimmy); and his nieces Emily Graham and Alison Graham.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666.
