Jose R. Nieves-Goicuria, 75, a native of Puerto Rico and resident of Hampton, Virginia passed away on August 24, 2010. He served honorably and retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Jose leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 52 years, Esperanza Nieves; son, Jesus Nieves; four daughters, Carmen Nieves, Maira Nieves-Rivera, Joselin Nieves-Barnes, and Maria Nieves; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Thursday, August 26, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Jose’s life will be held Friday, August 27 at 1 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 807 W. Mercury Boulevard in Hampton. Encryptment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, with Military Honors.
