Judy E. Hankerson, 65, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born in Augusta, Georgia and was a resident of Yorktown, Virginia for 29 years. She was retired from the United States Air Force and later went on to be a Dental Assistant. Judy was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia.
Judy was preceded in rest by her mother, Louise P. Hankerson, her father, Matthew Hankerson, her brothers, Ken Hankerson and Matthew Hankerson and a sister, Sharon Hankerson. She is survived by her son, Kristoff Hankerson, and three sisters, Freda Hankerson, Kay Freeman and Ann Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Judy’s life will follow at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, in Suffolk.
