

Karen Belanger Taylor of Hampton, VA, formerly of Meriden, CT peacefully passed away on May 24, 2022, while surrounded by her husband Dana and son Charles after a long battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father the late Philip Belanger and her in-laws Dorothy and Robert Taylor.
Karen will be fondly remembered as a woman with a very easy-going nature who would do anything for a family member or friend in need. She was a devoted wife and mother and fiercely loyal and giving to her family. She loved to cook and was especially known for her jam-filled Christmas cookies. She also pursued many passions during her life like planting flowers, quilt making, knitting and counted needlepoint. Everything she touched turned into something beautiful.
A graduate of Maloney High School class of 1973, she served in the Air Force for 6 years. She started her career as an x-ray technician and then did mammography several years before retiring from civil service in Virginia. Karen was a den mom to her son's Boy Scout Troop where she assisted Charles in achieving his Eagle Scout Award.
Karen will be deeply missed by her beloved son Charles of New Haven and loving husband Dana of Hampton, VA, her mother Ina Belanger of Meriden, Sandy and Gary Boudreau of Meriden, Gary Belanger of Meriden, Wendy and Tom Tyburski of Berlin, and Donna and Chuck of Georgia, her family and friends, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
