Kelly you were my first friend. You  were my first attempt at a sleepover.  You would always try to convince  me I could make it  but when mom and dad would pull out of the driveway, I would go running. I owe you most of my childhood injuries which my kids love hearing those stories especially about our "trust"  games which left me with several scars on my chin. We made up so many games when we were kids to keep from being bored.  We would also write stories and have awesome Saturday picnics with so much junk food. I had no patience when it came to dressing my Barbies so you would always do it for me so we could keep playing. I remember when we were kids our families would go on vacation together and we stuck together in Disney World cause neither of us rode roller coasters.  As we grew up we grew apart but I would still
come over and bug you, Neda, and Heather to tell you my latest  idea or scheme.  You weren't just a friend you were another sister.  I will miss you every time I walk next door to see your mom.  Everything about whispering way reminds me of all our memories.  This has been so hard. I would give anything to have one last conversation in the den.  

Ms. Johnson was the reason I had a love of Star Wars, I even bought a Darth Vador dress so I could wear it to her class. She was one of my favorite teachers. I miss and love you very much. I know you'd be proud to know i'm graduating in a year, and I've been making really good grades.

Kelly made the Christmas season even better.  Planning secret pals, arranging pot luck brunches.  There was always a handmade gift for you from her.   When I pull these out this upcoming Christmas I will be missing my friend.   You are missed!!!!

I have so many great memories of Kelly. She was not only my niece, but a sister and friend. She was one of the sweetest, kindest people I know. She had a giving heart and always wanted to make people smile and be happy. I have never known someone as creative as her. She definitely got all the creative genes in the family! She truly enjoyed life. Kelly and I loved to make each other laugh. It was our thing. With her, I have laughed til I cried and couldn’t stop! She brought so much love to this world. It is definitely a better place because of her. I love you Kelly and I will carry you in my heart always. We will forever laugh together. 

It's been over a month and I still can't believe you're gone. I struggle every day with the unfairness.  I will never forget your stories about teaching and the love you had for your students, even the ones who gave you trouble! Your humor and smiles lifted everyone around you. It's the silliest thing, but you're the one who told me about liquid smoke when we got together to watch the Gamers movies and I think of you every time I cook with it.  You were right -- total game changer!

I'll miss the cute treats you made and your fun outfits. I'll miss the way you made every occasion a big deal. Thanks for teaching me the importance of creating your own joy. I don't pretend to know what happens when life ends, but I hope you're on a beach somewhere.  <3
