LaRoy Martine Young Jr., passed away on July 23, 2023 at his home in Poquoson, Virginia. LaRoy was born March 5, 1998 in Jackson, Michigan and that's where he resided for the first 9 years of his life until he moved to Hampton, Virginia where he lived the remainder of his years.
He is survived by his parents Leroy and Tammy Young of Virginia; his birth mother, Virginia De La Rosa of Jackson, Michigan; his brothers, Lorenzo Young of Virginia, LaRoy Anthony Young, of Jackson, Michigan, LaShawn Young, of Tempe, Arizona, Jeremy (Salida) Wright, of Jackson, Michigan, Charles (Chelsea) Gauthier of Pinckney, Michigan, Rudy De La Rosa of Jackson, Michigan; Sister, Kendra De La Rosa of Jackson, Michigan,Toni Crawford of Jackson, Michigan, Chelsea Hurley of Poquoson; and many nieces and nephews, as well as a very special young lady, Miss Ashlyn Brooke, LaRoy's first love and the love of his life. Special mention to his brother-in-law, Charles Langley.
LaRoy was an amazing young man who had a big heart and he was willing to help anyone and everyone. He always wanted to see everybody happy. He was a great football player, basketball player, boxer, and he was naturally good at anything he tried his hand at. He adored his family, who will cherish memories of him forever.
