

Laura Louise Norris, born Laura Louise Lenz on July 14, 1934 in Johnstown, PA, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 18, 2024. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of the memory care unit at Bethesda Gardens in Phoenix, AZ. She had suffered from late-term Alzheimer’s Disease over the past four years and was under the care of Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix.
Laura is survived by a daughter, Virginia Winebrenner of Phoenix, AZ, a son Kenneth Naugle of Hampton, VA, five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Laura was predeceased by a son, Daniel Naugle of Salisbury, MD and by three husbands, Simon Naugle, Francis Lackey and Donald Norris. Prior to moving to Phoenix, AZ for care in 2022, she was a long-term resident of Hampton, VA, where she had retired after working as a sales associate for JC Penney.
Laura was a strong Christian, known for her intercessory prayer and her love of singing hymns. She had been active in Liberty Live Church, Bethel Temple and, most recently, Langley Christian Church, all in Hampton, VA. She was known for her warm smile, her caring heart, and her desire to share the love of Jesus with all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for her at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral home at 2551 North Armistead Ave in Hampton, VA on Saturday, September 28 at 9:30 AM. Interment will be privately held for the family only at another time. No flowers are requested.
