I knew her as a little girl, had never met her as an adult, as a woman.  I was Alan Cohen's partner and saw her several times at their house. How tentative and fragile is this life.     How uncompromising is this premature end.  We were never given the opportunity to say "goodbye" or "we love you." I think she knows how we feel about her.  Regrets to all who knew and loved her. I send my deepest condolences to your family at this time. I apologize that this comes so late but I am just finding out. Linda was a WONDERFUL person. We worked at ASCE together as conference coordinators. She was a great friend and always had an ear if there was a problem. She will be deeply missed.

Mark, I want you to know how proud I am of you for being Linda's brother. She looked up to you, she was angry with you like sisters can be, she was in awe of you at times and most importantly she loved you. When we talked about you it was important to her that she had a big brother, she always wanted a big brother and you were it. I know you will miss her and I know you loved her. All of us are so deeply sorry to learn of the loss of Linda. We all remember her very well this past June when she returned to campus for her 10th year reunion. She so enjoyed the camaraderie of her class and other alumni on campus throughout the weekend. All memories of her will be everlasting.  She touched many people’s lives that crossed her path, in and around Christchurch School. We will light a candle this coming alumni weekend in her memory. The Christchurch Class of 2001, and the entire Christchurch community have lost a special alumna.

I went to ccs with linda. We were friends, but not close. It seems silly but we just had different friends. Truth is... at ccs, we were all friends.  we just didn't know it. I loved it when linda wore those purple contacts. I asked her why she did it, I don't remember her reply. I always gave her grief about being real, but to this day, I've never seen eyes more beautiful than hers.

Kathy, I thought of Linda as one of my daughters. She brought laughter, smiles, thoughtfulness and joy to our family. I will never forget her spontaneity, her love of life and most of all her laughter. She has made me smile, made me angry, made me cry and taught me many lessons. She was a wonderful gift to our family, thank you for sharing her with us.

The loss of a loved one is never easy.  I lost my dad August 22nd this year, so my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to you and your whole family!! Linda was an amazing woman and a friend to any and everyone she met. She had a heart of gold!!!  She will greatly be missed.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the unfathomable loss of your beautiful and caring child.  I cannot begin to imagine the pain you feel and send my deepest sympathy to each member of Linda's family.  Your words are so true: 'delightful, beautiful young worman.'  Linda was my co-worker at the American Association of School Administrators and worked just over the 'wall' of our adjoining cubicles.  Her voice and warm smile brought joy to our workplace.  We shall miss Linda dearly.

Sad, when you have to capture a life with words and condolences...Life cant be put into words, it is lived, its a feeling, a being, existing, an interaction, a laugh, a smile. Linda to me means more than words in life and ever after, she lived her life through others, smiles, laughter, feelings, she lived for others and always in a way more than words..words will never be enough to amount to what the life she was in us all and still will always be, in remembrance of Linda, Thanks for being more than words.

I believe Linda was a student in my public speaking class at William and Mary. Her beautiful face and charming smile look so familiar. I'm not sure what happened but am so sadden to know we have lost such an amazing young woman. Please know your little girl touched many lives during her time at W&M.

Kathy, I have been sending you hugs non-stop since I spoke to Carmen on Thursday. My heart is aching and I do not even know where to begin. I have so many beautiful, comforting, and hilarious memories of Linda. Not a single day in the last 13 years has passed by without me thinking of Linda at some point, in some way. I promise you, that will not change. Lily will grow up knowing how much I loved her "Aunt" Linda and what a character she was!
