I’ve known Liz since the 7th grade and she was nothing but nice to me ! I was able to always talk to her about things ! I was a friend and a teammate to Liz , volleyball was our sport and we has plans for next year now that she is not here me and the other girls will play every game for her !

I known Liz since elementary school she was a nice and warm-hearted girl and cared about everyone around her and people that I was around  would joke about what happened but I would tell them to stop and it just hurts my heart to  see a close friend lose their life and it just lets us know to be careful and I wish her family love and support.

I miss her dearly. She was a great teammate and an even better friend. It was a new memory everytime you were with her. She would walk into the room with just a smile and start waving at me and it would make my day. She was the most kind-hearted person I have ever met. 

Every day was a memory with her. She was different than the other girls I knew. I’m glad I got the opportunity and chance to be friends with her. 

My heart was so grieved when I heard about this tragedy!! I was driving and saw the balloons and flowers at the traffic light. I found out later the tragic story. My heart was so very grieved!!! To the family, I am so sorry and I hurt for you all. Words can never be enough but I want you all to know that I will continually pray for your healing comfort!! May God wrap you all in His strong arms until the night is over and the day springs anew in your lives!!!!

Deepest Condolences to the family of Liz Maris.  It is so heartbreaking to see someone so young pass away but be comforted in knowing that she will dwell now with an awesome God.  She lived a beautiful life.  Everyone who spoke of her be it family, friends or school mates was of a very innovating  young lady.  Just want to share that so many of us care.

Liz was one beautiful girl I met her when I was in 3rd or 4th grade she was really helpful to me during school she would always give me a big hug

Liz was a great person. she always made sure someone was straight. if she  saw that something was up with you, she’d be like “Are you okay?” or “What’s wrong?” . she was such a beautiful girl and i will always remember her. She also had a wonderful smile on her face that no one can forget. i love her so much and always will.

My heart aches for Liz Maris Family, especially her dear Mother. We grieve because of the tragic accident that took her life. I hope the fond memories of your beautiful daughter, sister and friend bring you all comfort. Revelation 21:4 tells us a promise by God. One day he will relieve mankind of all kinds of pain and suffering on earth including death. 

I am a Hampton City school bus driver. Liz Maris was on my route this school year.  Bus 101- route 009 and 109. 

I was saddened and shocked to learn the news of her passing.  I see youthful faces everyday.  Her face was beautiful. She was always polite.  Respectful. Pleasant. I watched her cross the road every day to insure she was safe. 

My heart and prayers go out to her family and loved ones.  She  was called Home for a reason we here don’t understand but Jesus has her right now which brings me great comfort. Knowing she was on her way to church brings me great comfort. Knowing she was with her mother brings me great comfort. Funny thing is I didn’t really know her but I knew her smile.  Her presence. Her beauty. Her desire to be in healthcare. 

Prayers and blessings to all of you in the days and time ahead.  The Lord has her now and please find comfort knowing He does. 
Bus 101 HCS

I got to know Liz last year as a student in my class & this year during volleyball. Last yr, I would always end my class by saying, “Be good. Be blessed. And if no one else tells you, I’ll tell you. I love you.” She would always smile or shout it back with some of her classmates as she exited the class.

She was always sweet, kind hearted, caring—never angry, mean spirited or with a frown on her face. Her smile and loving nature were  infectious.

She always greeted with a low, soft tone, a huge smile & hugs. She had one of those special spirits where if you were down, she picked you up.

Her sweet innonce & genuine spirit was a blessing to have encountered. She possessed something so rare. No amount of words will express how much she will  truly be missed.
