Mary Lee Craft

Mary Lee was a private duty registered nurse for 15 years before becoming the head nurse on the nightshift at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. She retired in February 1988 after 20 years of service.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 40. Mary Lee was an archery champion in the 1960’s and won the Virginia State Champion 9 times, a 3-time Mid-Atlantic Champion, and a National Champion in 1962. She enjoyed RVing, camping, boating and fishing. She was also a HAM radio operator with the call number KE4SUE.

Mary Lee was preceded in rest by her parents, Clyde and Nannie Mosley. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John H. “Jack” Craft.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Mary Lee’s life to immediately begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
