Mary B. Merrill, 94, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Mary grew up in Tombstone and Bisbee, Arizona before attending the University of Arizona where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in music. She married Wendell “Wendy” in 1942 and then lived at many Army duty stations including Berlin, Germany before moving to Hampton in 1959.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell W. Merrill; daughter, Judith Merrill Koestring; and mother, Rinda M. Bradshaw. She is survived by her sons, Charles R. Merrill (Ruth), and James D. Merrill (Barbara); son-in-law, Al Koestring; grandchildren, Kimberly Collins, Jesse Merrill and Willow Todd; and 8 great-grandchildren.
