Nora Harlow Meade

Nora was an administrative assistant with NASA and Ft. Eustis Civil Service for 45 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of First United Church of Christ Hampton.

Nora was preceded in rest by her husband of 61 years, James A. Meade and her brother, Henry V. Harlow. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Baylor and her husband, Bill, of Va. Beach, Debbie Fertitta and her husband, Dee, of Poquoson, Beverly Shaub and her husband, Tom, of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Shawn Fertitta and her wife, Lori Misitis, of Pittsburgh, PA, Brandy Fertitta of Hampton, Brett Baylor of Va. Beach, Wendy Baylor of Va. Beach, Brianne Nelson and her husband, Brad, of Va. Beach, Chad Shaub and his wife, Emily, of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Keary Shaub and his wife, Teri, of Cincinnati, OH; four great-grandchildren, Dawson Nelson of Texas, Hayden Nelson of Va. Beach, Camden Nelson of Va. Beach, Grace Misitis of Pittsburgh, PA.; and her best friend Nancy Lamb.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, followed with a celebration of Nora’s life at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
