Pam is survived by her son, David Swearengin (Brittany), four grandchildren Nina, Treyden, Autumn, and Emmie, and before her passing she was thrilled to learn that she had another grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Ann Gibson Soehngen, her brother, Lee Gibson (Lisa), and her sister Jeanine Gibson. Pam leaves behind five loving nieces, Jessica Keene (Andrew), Ciara Norton, Anna Gibson, Kaci Cunningham, Rachel Hubbard (Jonathan), one great-niece, Charlie Norton, and her best buddy Mary McCaskill.
Pam was born January 27, 1964, in Newport News, Virginia to Wilbert “Buddy” Gibson and Ann Gibson Soehngen. She attended Menchville High School and spent much of her life in the Hampton Roads area. Pam was preceded in death by her father, “Buddy,” her adoring paternal grandparents Wilbert Gibson and Louise Gibson, whom she lovingly called “Nanny,” and her maternal grandparents Paul and Mildred Harris.
Pam had a zest for life and appreciated life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid crochetier, and made many beautiful heirloom keepsake blankets. Her deviled eggs were a hit at every family gathering. Pam relished time spent in the company of her family and friends, listening to country music, and the taste of a good cheeseburger with a freshly opened Dr. Pepper. Pam’s kind heart, her sense of humor, and her loving, generous spirit will be greatly missed by us all.
The family will hold a private memorial gathering.
