Pamela was born on January 19, 1953, in the Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Earl Weldon and Carrie Scott Weldon.
The New York City public school system educated her. She attended Grace Dodge High School, where she obtained her nursing license as an LPN. She also attended classes at Bronx Community College. Pamela worked as a nurse for forty years in various positions.
Pamela was a strong, independent woman who took pride in raising her two children as a single mom. She had her son Kasson in 1972 and her daughter Kami in 1975. Her son became a pastor, and her daughter a retired Navy Chief. Pamela was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord and always pursued more knowledge about God. She obtained a degree and graduated from St. Paul Bible Institute as valedictorian. She instilled in her children the love for God, faith in God, a prayer life, and the love of the word of God. She had a love for traveling whether for ministry or family, “SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE”. She was also willing to help anyone; she was a mother to some and a friend to many.
She leaves to celebrate her memory her son Kasson Weldon (Katina), her daughter Kami Weldon, one granddaughter, Tylah Davis, three grandsons, Caleb Weldon, Jeremiah Weldon, and Josiah Weldon, her brother Kenneth Weldon (Shirley), one nephew, Antione Weldon, two nieces, Keyetta Weldon and Shakeiya Cole, her best and closest friend Rollanda Lamothe, and a host of cousins, loving relatives, and friends.
The family will welcome friends on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Freedom Fellowship, 836 Regency Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23454, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
