Patricia Ann Franks, a radiant soul, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born on November 28, 1948, in New Jersey, Patricia was the daughter of the late Leonard Childs and Bertha Mae Mayfield. She graced this world with her gentle strength, unwavering faith, and an enduring spirit that touched the lives of many.
She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was a member of North Hampton Church of Christ in Hampton, Virginia. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, gambling, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. A treasured memory included drag racing with her spouse, the late Kenneth Franks. These were moments she held close to her heart.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Kenneth Franks; parents, Leonard Childs and Bertha Mae Mayfield; and her daughter, Laura Ann Weeks.
She is survived by, a loving and devoted son, Duane Franks (Lottie); six grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Kamden, Maddison, Gavin, and Skylar; and one great-grandchild, Rhett.
Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, strength, and faith will remain forever etched in our hearts.
