Phyllis DeWeese Dunn, formerly of Hampton, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2013. Phyllis retired from Riverside Hospital in the CCU and was a member of Westhampton Baptist Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Thomas and Luther C. Dunn; parents, Roy and Gertrude DeWeese; and sisters, Revonda Woods and Gladys S. Wilson. She is survived by a daughter, Annette Firth (Raymond); grandchildren, Bryan Hartz, Chris Hartz (Jackie), and Jason Hartz (Amber); 9 great-grandchildren; and special family members, Merrill and Debi Hartz.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery. All other times the family will be at her daughter's home at 188 Ridge Road, Poquoson, Virginia.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bayside of Poquoson for their dedication and continued support. Also, thank you to the hospice staff that were so very kind.
