

Phyllis Noreen Robinsonpassed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her home. She was born June 23, 1935, in Sault Sainte Marie, MI to Clare and Doris (Ladd) Schnepp. She was a graduate of Walton Central High School, Walton NY and attended Courtland College and Oneonta State Teachers College, in NY.
She is survived by her lifelong love of 57 years, husband, Raymond and their four children, Roxane, her husband Tom Jernigan, East Hampton, NY, son David and wife Kathy Robinson, Smithfield,VA, daughter Angela Robinson Northcutt Taraborelli, Stafford, VA, and daughter Mindy and husband Jacob Molchany, Johnstown, PA. Also 13 grandchildren, Michael and wife Nancy Robinson, Jessica and husband Christopher Hewitt, Marshall Robinson, Hugh, Neil, and Mary Jernigan, Kate and husband Scott Morris, Ryan, Rachel, and Sam Northcutt, Drew, Kyle, and Brad Molchany, 2 great granddaughters Taylor and Raegan Robinson.
She worked as a long term substitute teacher at Menchville High School in the late 1970's before joining Thalhimer's department store as Personnel Director. She loved working for Thalhimer's and only left to work side by side with her family in the business she co-owned, Ross Auto Parts Inc. until it closed in 2011. Phyllis loved sewing for her family and home. Her love of gardening is reflected in her yard. She was a mother to anyone that needed one, listening and giving great counsel. She loved feeding family and friends but truly hated cooking. Phyllis was a kind and gentle woman who was dearly loved by all. The hole she leaves in our heart will be filled with the memories and love she gave to us and everyone she knew.
Family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, from 1-4 at Anna's Italian Pizza 2845 N Armistead Ave, Hampton.
