Robert Wallace Staples Jr.

Bobby was born on February 11, 1952 in Richmond, VA to Robert W. Staples, Sr. and Grace Irene Staples. He was preceded in death by his father Robert W. “Wally” Staples Sr. and his wife Theresa R. Staples. He is survived by his mother, Grace Irene Staples, three brothers, Jerry Staples, David Staples and wife Sonja, Steve Staples and wife Maureen, and one sister, Sandra Anderson and husband Richard, his son Robbie Staples and wife Sinoun, daughter Catherine Moore and husband George, one granddaughter Mallory Moore, one grandson George “Scooter” Moore Jr., and another grandbaby on the way. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

His most favorite thing in the world was to go fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. Over the years, there were many fishing trips that brought home dinner for all as well as the occasional unsuccessful trip.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and a memorial service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 2 pm Both will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home located at 243 S. Armstead Ave, Hampton, VA. There will be a reception following the service for family & friends.
