Steve Brian Elliott

Mr. Steve Brian Elliott peacefully departed life on April 21, 2025, at Sentara Hospital. He was born on October 5, 1968, to the late Terrance Robert Elliott, Sr. and Maggie Louise Tabb Elliott. He was preceded in death by a host of aunts, uncles, and other family members on both the maternal and paternal sides.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved sons, Darius S. Elliott (Erica) and Brandon R. Elliott (Ana), significant other, Sabrina R. Pettaway; brothers, Terrance R. Elliott, Jr. (Sheila), Bruce L. Elliott (Rosa); nieces, Myoshi Marilla (Brian) and Brittany Pettaway, nephews, Mark Elliott and Jalen Pettaway, and Pa-Pa's beloved grandson, Phoenix Elliott. Several close and devoted friends and family, Isiah Gates (Fly), Virgil Gillis, Jason Regan, Roger Williams, Ralph White, Geoffrey Hudson, Sr., Jamal Wigglesworth, Tommy Henry, Thomas Truslow, and the Pettaway Family. We may not have named everyone, but we are confident that those who are dear to him know who they are.

Steve graduated from Bethel High School in 1986 and attended Virginia State University where he was initiated into the Alpha Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He loved being outdoors and participating in various activities, most importantly, he cherished spending quality time with family during different events and he never met a stranger. His love, smiles, deep voice, jokes, infectious laughter, and sweet demeanor will be missed by his family and friends.

The family will welcome friends Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 171 Semple Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road Hampton, VA 23666.
