

She was an honor graduate of Kecoughtan High School’s Class of 1995 and attended Old Dominion University. Tracy has received numerous letters of accommodations and awards for exemplarily service from her police and sheriff departments. She was featured in a Daily Press article "Never A Dull Moment" for her passion to her job. She was currently a dispatcher with the Virginia Marine Resources Commission Marine Police.
Tracy is survived by her husband and best friend of 12 years, Tony Palmieri; two sons, Anthony Palmieri and C. Newmiller; two daughters, Gabriella Palmieri and Elizabeth Newmiller; parents, Tom and Carrol Pettit; and loving mother-in-law, Doris Palmieri.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
