

“Ott”, as he was known, passed from this life on Monday, December 20, 2010. He was born and raised in Hampton.
Throughout his life, Ott never moved further than two miles from the house where he was born. After serving his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, he returned home to start a family and a career in the construction industry. He was well known on the Peninsula for many years as a masonry contractor, performing his artistic skills on numerous fine homes.
He is preceded in rest by his wife, Peggy Ann Stilwell and parents, Laura E. and Lawrence E. Stilwell. Surviving members of his family include his son, Jim Stilwell; daughter, Sherry Pittman and husband Dave; grandchildren, Josh Hickey, Christian Pittman, Brittany Stilwell, Zack Stilwell, and Hayden Stilwell; and special friend, Pam Williams. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Ott's life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
