Adeline Jean Montgomery

Adeline was the 1st born child to Antonio S. & Jennie Mattos Brazil on January 13, 1930 in Hanford, California. She passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2017.

Adeline attended EUCALYPTUS Elementary School and graduated from Hanford High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart, John Fox Montgomery on January 4, 1951. Adeline worked at a Dress Shop, Beacon Oil and then 52 years for Guy Badasci at Continental Dairy Equipment Company and Western Wear retiring in 2005. Upon retiring she volunteered at Central Valley Hospital until 2016.

Adeline is survived by her husband John of 66 years. They had two daughters Valerie Klassen, husband Darrell and Cheryle Boeve, husband Bruce. Adeline has four grandchildren. Steven Richwine, Preston Richwine, wife Heather, Jill Boeve Ketner, husband Jeff and Daniel Boeve, wife Cortney (who has been John & Adeline's caretaker for the past 7 months). She has five great-grandchildren. Andie & Tyler Richwine, children of Steven, Maddox & Stella Richwine, children of Preston, and Blake Boeve son of Daniel. Adeline is survived by numerous

godchildren, nieces and nephews.

Adeline is also survived by her siblings Lena Semas, husband John and Tony Brazil, wife Virginia. She has brothers-in-law Richard Montgomery, wife Georgia, Bob Montgomery, wife Loretta, sisters-in-law Janice Reyes and Janet Montgomery.

Adeline was preceded in the death by her parents Antonio S. & Jennie Brazil, her in-laws John Seldon Montgomery, Hazel & Winston Thompson, siblings Mary Semas & her husband Tony, and baby brother Eddie Brazil, as well as in-laws Donald Montgomery & his wife Jan, Shirley Montgomery Souza and her husband Chuck, Sandra Montgomery and Larry Montgomery.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. all at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA and a Funeral Mass on Monday, December 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1001 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA followed by Burial at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Ave., Hanford, CA 93230.
