Barbara Elliott beloved wife passed away on April 16, 2017 (Easter Sunday) with her husband by her side. She was 80 years old.
Barbara was born on November 3, 1936 in Hanford, California to Dorothy and Cyril Casmero.
Barbara is survived by her husband Corky, brother Tony and wife Lavan of Morro Bay, CA; stepdaughter Leslie Holt and husband Joe of Shawnee, OK; nieces and nephew in Arizona and Texas.
Barbara graduated from Hanford Joint Union High School in June 1954. She worked tirelessly in the banking industry for 35 years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
She lover her Dodgers and her Rams. Barbara was known for her graciousness, kindness, humor, wit and generosity. Family, friends and animals were foremost to her.
Barbara had many animals both dogs and cats. She cherished each and every one, they were her kids!
Barbara cherished the ocean and everything about it. Her many cruises are too many to mention, she would even take Corky once-in-awhile.
Barbara also had a passion for roses. Corky saw to it that she had fresh roses everyday that she was in the rest home. Every morning she would ask what the kids had for dinner the previous night and what was for breakfast.
Each night before Corky would go home she would tell Corky to get some rest and feed the kids their dinner.
Each evening before Corky left he would recite the following poem:
The Promise By Robert Sexton; "Across the years I will walk with you - in deep, green forests; on shores of sand: and when our time on earth is through, in Heaven, too, you will have my hand."
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA 93230.
