Gabriel Velazquez

Gabriel was born to Pedro & Guadalupe Orosco Velazquez on March 26, 1960 in Tototlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Gabriel passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California. Gabriel married the love of his life, Elena Jauregui on December 18, 1976 and has resided in Hanford, California with her and their family for the past 18 years. Gabriel was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford, California. Gabriel's passions in life were his family and their gatherings, watching futbol (soccer), traveling to Mexico on family vacations and he was tamale eating fanatic! Everyone called him "El Tamale"...

Gabriel was preceded in death by his mother; Guadalupe Velazquez. Gabriel will be greatly missed by his father; Pedro Velazquez of Mexico. Gabriel is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years; Elena Velazquez of Hanford, California. Gabriel also leaves behind his four sons and daughter; Osvaldo & Lidia Velazquez of Rogers, Arkansas, Eduardo & Nayeli Velazquez, Jose Juan Velazquez, Claudia & Luis Sachina and Gabriel Velazquez, Jr. all of Hanford, California. Gabriel also will be missed by his two brothers; Jose Velazquez & Guadalupe Saldana of Laton, California and Emilio Velazquez & Maria de Jesus Huerta of Tototlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Gabriel was cherished by his precious six granddaughters and one grandson; Alexis Velazquez, Melany Velazquez and Lesliean Velazquez all of Rogers, Arkansas, Bailey Velazquez, Arely Velazquez and Obet Eduardo Velasquez all of Hanford, California and Gerisbel Sachina of Hanford, California.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; 10355 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-8576. A Burial will take place at a later date at Panteon Municipal; Tototlan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Services are under the direction of People's Funeral Chapel.
