Homer William Brown Jr. was born on March 10, 1932, to Mary Magdalene Bedell and Homer William Brown Sr. The angels watched over Homer; on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the Lord dispatched his angels from watch and called him home.
Homer attended grade school and graduated from East High School in Akron, Ohio. He accepted Christ at an early age. He also loved music and taught himself to play the piano. Homer joined the United States Marine Corps on March 21, 1952, and served as an Aviation Mechanic. Once he completed his career in the Marine Corps, he moved to Los Angeles and continued his employment with the federal government and worked for the United States Postal Service. After 30 years of service, he continued to help people by working in senior care services, helping seniors who needed someone to assist them with their day-to-day activities.
His mother, father and brothers, John, Floyd, and Donald preceded him in death. Homer was a devoted father and grandfather. He leaves the world better than he found it, and his memory is a benediction to all who loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Linda, three sons Homer III and wife Wanda, Damon and Keith, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Dorothy and Dolores, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
