Isidra Capili was a caring daughter, sister, aunt and second mother to many. She entered the gates of heaven peacefully on November 27, 2021 with family by her side. Isidra was the third of ten children of Felino and Manuela Capili. As the eldest female sibling, she dedicated her life to helping her mother raise a large family. Because of the love she shows to everyone, most of her nieces and nephews called her Mommy Deng. God creates people with purpose and hers was to be a servant to all. She sacrificed her whole life to care for everyone around her; from parents to siblings to even extended family. Even if she didn't have any children, she cared for all of her nieces and nephews like they were her own. Mommy Deng was an excellent cook, homemaker and protector.
At a young age, she developed complications in her kidney which later contributed to her kidney transplant, but that didn't stop her from caring for others. Mommy Deng never complained about how hard her life was. Although her education did not go beyond 4th grade, she continued to encourage and push her younger siblings, nephews and nieces to be diligent in pursuing their dreams. In 1980, Isidra moved to California with her siblings and lived with her brother. After a few years of savings and hard work, she managed to buy a house with her other siblings. They strived to live the American Dream.
Isidra was a simple woman who loved unconditionally and was a mother figure to all. She will truly be missed.
