

John Henry Randall passed away Thursday morning, October 29, 2015, at the age 95. John’s death was the culmination of a five year battle with cancer. At the time of his death John lived in Union, Washington. John was born February 20, 1920 in White Cloud, Kansas. He moved to the Hanford area as youth in 1936. He graduated from Hanford High School. At the onset of WWII John deployed first to Hawaii and later to the Philippines. He served from 1941 until 1946. John entered the Army as an enlisted soldier and later received a field commission as a lieutenant. John served his country faithfully and proudly. As a result of his service to the country he lived with several disabilities.
John served on the Hanford Police Department and the Kings County Sheriff Department. After leaving the Sheriff Dept. he worked for several years for Mid-State Welding. His final employment was with Bank of America from which he retired. He was a long time member of Lakeside Community Church. He was active in the Hanford VFW Nisei Liberty Post 5869. He served on the board or worked with the local Salvation Army and YMCA.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years the former Doris Holt and daughter Shelly Burnett of Reno, NV.
He is survived by daughters Linda G. Watson of League City, TX, Nancy J. Scott of Portland, OR and Carol Corsello of Pueblo, CO, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Lakeside Community Church at 11:00 am.
A Military Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Grangeville Cemetery; 10428 14th Avenue, Armona, CA 93202.
