Judy Lee Shafer

Longtime Hanford resident, Judy L. Shafer, 71, of Hanford entered into rest on Monday, April 23rd, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born on Wednesday, November 27, 1940. Judy was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, (adopted mom to many) grandma, and great grandma.

Judy had a heart of gold with open arms and ears to anyone she could help. She will be forever missed and always in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Bryson, husband Donald Shafer, ex-husband Emory Sheats, son-in-law Kenny Belk and grandson Baby Kenny Belk.

Judy was survived and will be truly missed by her brother Bill Bryson, (San Francisco) her 6 children Paul Sheats,(Fresno) Kathy Sheats,(Armona) Larry Sheats,(Nevada) Cheryl Farpella,(Hanford) Mary Shafer,(Fresno) and Don Shafer (Hanford). 10 grandchildren Ledonna Shafer, Jeff Kong, Carrie Davis, Fawn Lemmons, Kenny Belk, and Nathan Mack all of Hanford. Stephen Hartman, (Nev) Michael O’bryon,(Sac). Paul E Sheats and wife, Jessica Sheats, and Cheylynn Bailey all of Fresno. Plus 22 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at 6:30 pm at Glad Tidings Church, 10th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard in Hanford, California
