Born and raised in Flint, Mich., Judy was the oldest of 6 children. Judy graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1964. During her time at Ainsworth High, she was a cheerleader, a member of Victorious Christian Youth, Student Government, the Senior Play and the National Honor Society. During her first year at Ainsworth, she also met Harry Zinser, who became her high school sweetheart and later, her husband of 44 years. After graduating from Ainsworth, Judy continued her education at Michigan State University, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1968. On November 16, 1968 Judy and Harry were married in Flint, Mich., just prior to Harry entering the United States Navy Flight Training Program. The Navy took them to Florida, Japan, California, Wisconsin, Germany, New Jersey and Washington D.C., before they settled in Lemoore, Calif., in 1994. Judy loved teaching and taught in many of the locations they lived. After moving to Lemoore, Judy began teaching science at Liberty Middle School in 1994, the same year the school opened. Her husband, Captain Zinser began instructing Navy Junior ROTC at Lemoore High School the same year. Judy taught for 18 years before retiring in June of this year. During her time in Lemoore, she also furthered her education, earning her Master of Arts in Education from Fresno Pacific University in 1999. She enjoyed travel, sewing and painting, but her greatest joy was her family and making a home wherever she lived. She dedicated her life to her family while managing to reach out and share her gifts with the greater world and her students. She kept her faith at the center of her life and is now enjoying the fullness of her eternal life with her Savior in the company of all Believers. Judy will be remembered for her kindness, her graciousness and her unique ability to make everything better.
Judy leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Harry of Lemoore, CA, her son Mark Zinser and wife, Debbie of Memphis, TN, and their son, Matthew (7) and her daughter, Kirsten and husband, Billy Davidson of Alameda, CA and their sons, Bracket (8), Cash (5) and a new baby due Christmas Eve. She is also survived by her sisters Pam and Debbie and her brothers Gary, David and Nicholas.
